simpleLoc is an advanced sensor fusion technology to localize pedestrians inside buildings. Our small research group has been developing and publishing on this topic for several years now and we were even able to win a few prizes.
As a lecturer, I teach theoretical computer science, computer graphics and computer vision at the University of Applied Sciences Würzburg-Schweinfurt. I supervise several theses per semester and hopefully will finish my own PhD thesis at the end of 2021.
I am also in charge of several projects as freelancer, project manager, founder or just enthusiast. Since 2019 most of them are carried out at the Steinbeis-Transferzentrum New Media and Data Science.
Augmented Art is an Augmented Reality technology suit, consisting of an CMS and a cross-plattform mobile application. Using the modular principle, any content such as video, audio or 3D objects can be entered in the CMS and displayed directly on exhibits, packaging or advertising material using the augmented reality app.
During 2013 I was part of a fun project. Using computer vision we detected Go stones on arbitrary boards, digitalizing the current board state. The state was displayed within a rather advanced GUI using Qt5, including an AI player.
Soon I will add more projects to this list. In 2019 and 2020 alone, I was involved in more than 10 large and small projects, ranging from heavy research to standard web-development.
2020 was very hard for most restaurants and local stores. Thus, a friend and I have developed a map-based e-commerce application, together with the city of Rothenburg ob der Tauber, containing most of the local businesses.
